Short Biography:

Education: Geosciences Engineer at Instituto Tecnológico de Ciudad Madero; MSc. in Engineering in Renewable Energies (Geothermics), UNAM; PhD. in Earth Sciences (Vulcanology), UNAM, México.

Current Position: Postdoctoral Researcher at Institute of Geophysics UNAM, Campus Morelia, in the area of numerical modeling of volcanic hazards.

Positions Held: Assistant Professor at the Multidisciplinary Unit of Teaching and Research of UNAM, Juriquilla, Querétaro, México (2015-2016). Professional in Cartography and Geologic Information at the National Institute of Geography and Statistics (INEGI), Cuernavaca, Morelos, Mexico (2010-2012). Titular Professor at the Oceanology Department of Universidad del Mar (UMar), Puerto Ángel, Oaxaca, México (2009-2010).

Research interests: Vulcanology. Volcanic monitoring. Volcanic stratigraphy. Numerical modeling of volcanic hazards. Volcanic risk and hazard assessment. SIGs.

Teaching experience: 1 year as lecturer in Cartography and SIGs at UNAM, and another 6 months at UMar in the Department of Oceanology, teaching the basic principles of Geology and Geophysics.
